It has a lively nightlife with many bars and restaurants and for the last decade, town centre regeneration has been a key priority for Cookstown town planners. Sports facilities have hugely improved with the help of the local council such as state-of-the-art sports facilities on the edge of town and modern leisure & swimming facilities in the town centre. There is a great selection of schools and colleges.
